Drill: Flannel Squeezes

Purpose:

This is a physical training drill that provides very much an early days approach to building finger strength

Where: floor based

This drill is completed on the floor. You will need a wet flannel or something of similar description

When: at home

This is designed as a homework exercise that you ideally conduct at home.

When: at Home

This drill is best done at home, ideally over a sink…

The Drill:

This was intended as a very easy finger exercise but to be honest, could work for anyone!

  • Step One: soak your flannel until dripping wet and place in the palm of your hand
  • Step Two: curl your fingers around the flannel and turn your hand palm down
  • Step Three: squeeze all the water out of the cloth
  • Step Four: slowly release the tension to come back into the drag position

The Outcome: How do you know when it’s working?

Over time, you should find that your finger strength increases
