Purpose:
To provide a very rough concept for you to follow to structure your sessions
Where: wherever you like
This drill covers your entire session and should be done everywhere.
It is recommended to move around the wall as much as possible and therefore, to begin with climbs that don’t suit as much, finishing on ones that to
When: during the ENTIRE SESSION (after warm up)
Complete a normal warm up and then begin the drill

The Drill:
First, conduct your normal warm up. Then begin the drill on climbs that feel incredibly easy:
- if you succeed on this grade, try a the next grade up
- if you fail on this grade, try a the next grade down
Complete the session in the same way that you usually would, with appropriate breaks and rests between climbs.
The Outcome: How do you know when it’s working?
You should find that were you to graph your climbs (you can if you really want but it is not necessary) you would have a graph that roughly resembles the same curve as the Session Structure graph above
