When: during the Options Period
At this point in your session, you should’ve finished with the main purpose of your session and be coming back down the grades

The Drill:
Begin on climbs four grades below the climbs in your Main Session (e.g. 7a project so select a 6b):
- Complete any climb four grades below max (e.g. 6b)
- if you succeed on this grade, try a the next grade up (e.g. 6b+)
- if you fail on this grade, try a the next grade down (e.g. 6a+)
DO NOT REST BETWEEN ATTEMPTS. Continue until the end of your session
The Outcome: How do you know when it’s working?
By the end of your session, you should find that you are struggling on climbs that would ordinarily be easy for you but crucially, you are still getting to the top of the climb
