Purpose:
To teach you to complete a claw style action when standing on holds
Where: floor based
This drill is conducted on the floor.
When: anytime
This floor based drill takes very little time and can be conducted anywhere, anytime

The Drill:
This drill is named after the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, with the animated bull that comically drags his foot back towards himself before charging. It is exactly the same motion we are after with our feet.
- Stand on the floor with a (unbreakable) item in front of you. If you would like the easy option, use a ball. For a harder option, use a smaller or flatter item
- Place your toe on the item and pull it back towards you, such that it ends up underneath you
- Place the item back where it started and repeat with the other foot
- Add variety by adjusting where the item starts compared to your standing foot
The Outcome: How do you know when it’s working?
Over time, you should find that you begin to use your feet to pull you across the wall, simply by using the underside of the toes
