In an attempt to thwart the heat this weekend gone, we headed up to the Honister Pass for a late evening, higher altitude session.

What an end to the long weekend! Proper mountain bouldering right in the heart of the Lake District with @john_kettle_climbing with great lines in a stunning setting.

What's better than catching up with an old friend for the first time in years? When you take him and his mates to the crag you developed a year ago and they love it! Awesome day at Clogwyn y Garreg today and they were so psyched. Tom even repeated Roohan 7b, confirmed the grade and confirmed that it is, indeed, awesome. Even managed another send of it myself for good measure.

Well it's not a different country but I did get an awesome day of bouldering at a new crag today with Jack Pearce at Pantymwyn. Hugely successful, too, ticking off seven problems including Firestarter 7a, Grinnin' In Your Face 7a (apparently downgraded after new beta), Gasoline stand start 7a+ and Gasoline (d'ya know what I mean) 7b+ all within a few hours thanks to Scouse Owen who gave us the necessary beta.

Our last full day on Dartmoor yesterday and the venue choice was an obvious one: it had to be Bonehill. For all that I love checking out a wide array of venues when I go on a trip, you've gotta make sure you hit up the obvious choices and Bonehill is definitely the go-to for bouldering in Dartmoor.
